• WHAT IS TELLTALE?

It’s a monthly curated storytelling show for people that want to get vulnerable and take no shit.

  • CAN I PERFORM AT IT?

Yes. We usually fill up a few months in advance, so if you’re interested, please get in touch as soon as possible.
Each month is based on a quite vague theme, and people get up to seven minutes to share their story through whatever medium feels right to them. This might include stories, essays, comedy, poetry, dance, or music.

  • WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING?

GREAT. Getting vulnerable and showing up and just giving it a try is a big part of our whole thing. Some performers will be professionals. Some people will have never spoken into a microphone before. We are available for support, coaching, feedback, and high fives. You tell us what you need.

  • WHERE IS THE SHOW?

Chapel Theater, 4107 SE Harrison, Milwaukie, OR. They have a bunch of other rad events that happen there too, so make sure to check them out, HERE.

  • WHEN IS THE SHOW?

Doors are at 7:30, the show is at 8. We are usually done by about 10pm or so. If you’re there earlier than 7:30, go downstairs and eat at Secret Pizza Society.

  • IS IT ALL AGES?

Yes, but I make no guarantees regarding the content of the stories. Sometimes they are very. . . adult.

  • HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

There are links to purchase tickets in advance on the main page, but you’re also welcome to purchase tickets at the door, at least until we start blowing up, and selling out way in advance. We take both cash and cards. Tickets are $5, but nobody is turned away. If you don’t have the money at the moment, please come anyway. We want you there.

  • IS THERE A BAR OR FOOD AVAILABLE?

Yes. Secret Pizza Society is slinging hot pies in the basement with all vegan and vegetarian options, and a bar upstairs with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options. The bar takes both cash and cards.

  • IS THE VENUE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

The venue itself is accessible, and has one bathroom on the main floor. The pizza restaurant downstairs is not, but you can order pizza from the bar and they’ll make sure to get it to you. The stage has two small steps to get onto it, but there’s also enough room to perform in front of the stage if the two steps are a barrier for you.

  • WHAT ARE THE BATHROOM OPTIONS?

The bathroom on the main floor, as well as all the bathrooms downstairs, are single stall, and non-gendered. Whoo!

  • WHAT ARE THE SEATING OPTIONS?

This is a seated show. The majority of the seats are folding chairs without arms. Please get in touch if that doesn’t work for you for any reason, and we will figure something else out.

  • CAN I DONATE MONEY TO YOU?

SHIT YES you can. We are always working on getting enough money together to buy some recording equipment, new merch, pay performers/photographers and more. We will use your dollars for good things, I promise.

  • DO YOU HAVE MERCH?

Absolutely. We have very soft t-shirts, excellent koozies, and a whole bunch of stickers, buttons, and magnets. Available at shows for the time being, but we will have stuff available to purchase online eventually too.
